The Challenge

A newly constructed commercial office was built to reflect modern design ideals—open layouts, glass partitions, concrete floors and exposed ceilings. The result was a visually stunning, contemporary environment.  Each of the meeting rooms, though beautifully finished, suffered from poor meeting room acoustics. The combination of hard reflective surfaces and minimal sound absorption led to long reverberation times and uncomfortable noise levels. The issue became clear as soon as the team moved in:

The Solution

Our assessment identified the core problem: the reverberation time (RT60) in each meeting room far exceeded the ideal acoustic range for speech clarity.
